Pretty much you asked the question and they gave you the answer to your question. Whether offensive or not. It is an opinion.
However, I would say I disagree with it and feel that a person needs to care for an infant 24/7 for at least a week. They will start to think twice of how hard it is, what they will be missing in their teen years and how it can be unfair to the infant.
Then the second stage is having a toddler 24/7 for at least a week. This includes buying the diapers, food, toilet training and behavioral modification issue's.
Very tough for an adult first timer. Even tougher for a teen who don't have access to a lot of things adults do (done with school so only focus on work. Those who are single mothers or fathers can have it really hard). Those who don't have family support, pretty much makes parenting extremly hard.
Having a child is a blessing to those who wish to have children in their life time. If want to be a parent, have a child when you know you can raise this child to the best of the best you can. Not settle for what you have and not able to offer much by being inpatient to have a child.

Are you mature enough to take care of a child? Can you support a baby, do you have a steady job? Is the father gonna support the baby?
If you can answer yes to those questions I would say maybe you could be a teen mom and be succesful. But think long and hard about it before you actually do it.

You need to take a step into reality. You are way to young. You need to finish school not worry about a baby. If you cannot take care of yourself without the help from your parents then there is no way you can take care of a baby with no job, money, medical insurance, a car, your own house and what not. Stop rushing to be grown. You are just a CHILD not an ADULT.

you are way too young. you have too much else to be worrying about. you don't need to be putting this much responsibility in your hands right now. worry about your grades, not being a mother.
is what I would say
