For those who have it, what has changed in this years version of Madden Besides the whole Run Blocking thing, and Highlight stick. Can you even Edit Rosters anymore? How is the Franchise Mode? Is the Superstar mode still Whack as hell?

I'm not getting it for 360...cause it's the graphics are not hot to me at all, so for those who have the PS2 versions...help a brotha out....*peace*

i got madden 07 for ps2. i got it the day it came out and i love it. the Lead Blocking is awesome. The Highlight stick is basically called that instead of truck stick because each runner has a different style of breaking tackles. thats the only reason its called highlight stick. they changed the kicking method so that now you pull down on the right analog stick to start the power meter and you push up when you get the right amount of power. and also, now in the kicking game you dont have to worry much about the accuracy as much as you did before. you can still edit rosters, Franchise mode is pretty much the same, with the Training Camp before the preseason and all that. But the Superstar mode is a little different now. in superstar now, you see the field as first person of ur player. u dont see from their eyes, but the camera zooms in to ur player. so if ur a receiver, the camera zooms into ur player so you can have full control of ur player. but the only thing that i dont really like in the new and "improved" superstar, is the fact that you cant choose ur own plays. usually, if i was a a QB, i would pass it a lot to up my stats ior if was a RB i would rush a lot. but in the Superstar mode now, you cant choose your own plays so it becomes difficult to up your stats to a point where you can start breaking records. but other than that, i love madden 07 and if u dont want to spend $50, then go to Circuit City. Circuit City is selling the game for $37.99 ($12 cheaper than everywhere else). if you can somehow get a newspaper clipping that says that Madden 07 is selling at Circuit City for $37.99, then take it to Sears. they have this "Price Match" thing that syas that if you can find the exact same thing for less anywhere else (and if you can prove it to them, which is what the newspaper cliiping is for) then we'll match it. well i hope you like madden 07 if u get it. i thought it was worth the money and i cant stop playing it. i love it

Well...the running game is really cool actually. I have the PS2 version so I don't have all of the cool nic-nacs that 360 has...but it's still pretty neat. Kicking...I don't like how they changed it, but its pretty easy to get used to, you use the joystick instead. Uhh you can edit the roster still, Vernon Davis is an UBER TE...92 speed and excellent other stats. Franchise mode has a few changes but overall, not MUCh different, Rookie scouting is a lot more realistic, you get to play with them in a game before you draft them, and run them through drills to find out how good they are at other things (Run power, agility, ect.) I simulated a season to see everything, it's pretty cool.

The colors...they use A LOT OF GRAY, I think to cut back on disc space :P Just a theory. But a new look indeed. Worth spending $50 on? Um, if you were annoyed by how hard it was to run sometimes in 06, yeah it's easier now. What bugs me is LaDanian Tomlinson rushed for 3000 yards in one season, what the hell? On Madden 06 I was able to run for 4,400 yards and 60 TDs almost every time, I even had a WR with 5,800 yards and 101 TDs....granted nobody else on my team had many recieving yards :| It's all good now....I dunno...It's really up to you if you want to buy it.

I actually like it a lot better than last years version. I didn't really think last years version was all that appealing at all. besides the whole run blocking control things. I can really get into the superstar mode they have, while it still has flaws in it, it has definitely been upgraded from their first go at it. Though you still have to do the entire select new parents thing, to get a position you want to have a career in, I think the game play is a lot better. You don't always become a starter the first year, as they had in the previous game, you have to pretty much earn your way their. So far a team that drafts you will send you a message telling why they chose you, in my case, my first guy was a qb, and was drafted to compete with jason cambell for the starting job when brunell retires soon. The really interesting feature is that in career mode, you do not select the plays run. and why would you anyways being your supposed to follow the play not call them. Anyways, when the coach puts you in, you can only control yourself, and no one else on the field, so if you make yourself a safety you had better know the role, and they make it so you see the field in the 1st person mode, and you have no choice over it. So it's definitely not as easy to just come in and become a star like thier first version. Another feature of i like in franchise, is what they are doing for the incoming rookies, like scouting them before hand, and even watching an all-star game of the oncoming players.

Get madden 08. 9.99 for madden 07 is still too much, it's crap, it doesn't play like a 360 game at all. Wait a little longer, save up and get madden 08 you won't regret it.

i don't think it is worth it, nut i really donn't like football video games, so it depends, if you have 06 i would say it is not worth it. i buy every other year, but my freind buys every year and has a million games that he hasn't played in a year.
