Regardless if he is a soldier .. he is still a person. Getting over a past love takes time - find things to keep you busy and do things for yourself.

There is this great show on PBS called "As Time Goes By." and It is about and older British couple who were in love long ago when he was a sailor, and she was a nurse, he was stationed at the port she was working in the war, and they had a few dates, but when it was time for him to ship out, neither one would ask for the others address. Some 40 years later, after both have been married, one divorced, the other a widow, they meet up again and fall in love again and always wonder what would have been if they had stayed in touch. That's is a difficult thing. You most likely have a "hero complex" and make him more than he really is.
Best course of action is to take action. Start dating Air force guys, they look so cute in blue. And have hot, fast cars too.

1.What attracted you to him. Find this in someone else
2.What type of man do you want
3.Is religion, color, or ethnic heritage a firm thing or are there options open.
4. Join a single group at a chruch or recreation center. Go out on safe dates until you find someone who meets all your needs and wants
