My friend's daughter was babysitting my daughter at my house and now today there's a $300 gold necklace missing. She knew it was in my room because she saw me take it off. I'm not 100% sure that I didn't just lose it, but I can't find it anywhere in my room. Me and her mom are not that close, so I don't know if I should sit down and talk to her or what? Any advice?

If there is a possibility that you have misplaced it, you can't accuse her of anything. I wouldn't ask her to babysit again though.

I would ask her if she saw your necklace or if anyone was in the house who might have gone into the room. I would not accuse her or make it sould like you are accusing her. Watch for telltale signs of nervousness or eagerness to help you. If she is too eager or can't look you in the eye, I would tell her that you would just like your necklace back and won't call the police if that happens.

If your not sure that you didn't misplace it, I wouldn't be pointing fingers at someone who might be innocent.
