Rabbit does not taste like chicken, it has a distinct gamy taste to it.

I eat rabbit, but I don't like eating rabbit that is raised. It's not anything ethical, I just prefer the taste of wild rabbit. It's good though, if you're thinking of eating it.

Never had it as a Pet, Not sure why people are responding that they had it as a pet when the question is in Dining out.
BUT..
Yes, I did as a main course about 10 years ago and the meat was very soft and tasty. Goes well will RUM. Yummy.... Never had a chance to have it again. No more wild rabbit hunting for me...

Haven't had it in years, but fried rabbit is great. So much better than chicken. We used to live in the country and my Dad would shoot them and prepare for dinner the same night.

Yes, it is common to hunt rabbit an eat it. My dad use to go rabbit hunting. It is good. I am not a picky eater though.

if youre ever in anaheim, ca theres a place called jagerhaus on ball road just west of the 57 on the north side of the street. they also have elk, boar, and all sorts of other game. and the spaetzle is to DIE FOR. now i want that...
