Probably when your mom started hers... I started mine the same as when my mom started hers..at 9yrs old!!!.. It's genetic so usually alll the womenin the family start it around the same time. so, you may be a while... but don't rush it honey!!...You won't want it when it gets here! Trust me

Most people get it b/t 11 and 12 but athletes (especially gymnast) get them later around 15-16. If you don't get it by 16 you and your mom should talk to your doctor.
Trust me once you get it you'd wish you hadn't

I'm 11 to and i got mine just a couple months ago so let me tell you its nothing to look forward to. but if you want to know its all in the genetics if your mom had hers at 15 then you probably will get it around that age to. if it comes early then tell your mom and she will help you with everything.

well since your mom had hers at 15 you should probably be getting your around 15 also. and if you are smaller and more petite then you mom was then theres a chance that you may not get it til your about 16. Good luck girly

being that you are athletic it may take you a little longer to get your period than most girls if you havent gotten one by the age of 14 than i would go and see a docter and have a pap smear

i was very thin and i started when i was 13 and weighed about 90 lbs. you'll just start a little later than others, but i promise that is a blessing!

Because you're so tiny, plus your Mom got hers kinda late, I think you have quite a few years to go yet. Plus being so active, that holds it off too.

It will probably be at least two more years since you are small and your mother did not start early.
