Keep your chocolate stash in the refrigerator, unless your pets have figured out how to get into it.

Most animals don't have the enzyme to break down one of the components of chocolate (watch out for real white chocolate as well). Because of this the first time may not kill your beloved pet, but the second time could. The chemical will build up in their system the more they eat it, and it takes a while to break down on it's own. Chocolate could be deadly, so if you can't be responsible about putting it away then don't buy it at all.

chocolate is bad 4 dogs to the point 2 much can kill them if u love yur dog u will put it out of reach and even better still teach them to leave it alone, if u get chocolate and add something that has a very bad taste to it then they soon learn not 2 touch.

You are being mean to them if you dont keep the chocolate in a place where they can't get to it, chocolate can kill your pets.

well, u can put the chocalate up until your pets arent around. if its a dog, its not mean to "pop" him for taking it or eating it. if its a cat , do the same . birds, a "secret" sort of way to make them stop is not talk or pay attention to them for a couple hours or more. i hope this helps you with your answer. take care.

Chocolate is poison for a dog!!! It also is not good for any animal Please do not let them get it. Keep it out of their reach.
