Seriously: Love your question!
And, yes, Clawdia of Thomas Mann's Magic Mountain
Margot and Henry IV of Heinrich Mann's Henry IV
Lydia Gwilt of William Wilkie Collins's Armadale.
Ozias Midwinter/Alan Armadale of see above....
Elizabeth Bennet and Darcy of Pride and Prejudice
Tess of Tess of the D'Urbervilles
Looks like I fall in love with them all the time.... that is if I really like the book, no matter what sex/gender or whatever....
Levin: That, indeed, is interesting!!!!!!

Oh, yeah...
When I was 16 years old, I started wearing black a lot (usually with something silver), and my mother thought I was depressed, or getting into some weird cult, or whatever adults are always suspecting teens of doing when they're not. Then I explained to her that there was this guy I had a crush on, and HE wore black and silver most of the time. Mom thought that was okay although slightly weird (she assumed that it was someone I knew from school, and telling her "I met him at the library" probably encouraged that assumption), but little did she know that the guy in question was the main character in a novel I'd just recently read...
The guy in question was Prince Corwin of Amber, from The Chronicles of Amber, by Roger Zelazny.
Any others? Well, not to the same extent, but still...

Yes. If it is possible. Tim Dorsey's Serge A. Storms is a keeper. And before it was popular, I was in love with Tyler Durden of Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club.
I sure wish there were more readers here.

I have lusted after two characters from novels I've read. Both by Christine Feehan.
Raoul "Gator" Fontaneaux - Night Game
Tyson "Ty" Derrick - Dangerous Tides
Those two provide me with some very nice daydreams.

I have always been fond of the women in Tim Robbins books. I can't say I have fallen in love with a character from a novel but I have been intimate with characters in magazines...but that's not the same.
