Sounds like it was your mucous plug, you will probably be going into labor soon-but remember it can still be e few days to a week from now. It all depends on the baby and when he/she decides he's ready to come out. Butterflies are understandable, you are thinking of everything from labor, to childbirth, to being a new mom, to.......the list goes on. Everything will be fine-Good Luck and congratulations!!!

It probably was. With my first baby I never noticed losing it. With my last pregnancy my Dr. "stripped" my cervix 2 days before I hot 38 weeks, he was inducing me 2 weeks later. Your Dr. possibly could have stripped you. You should ask. As far as it being your mucus plug, thats what it sounds like! Good luck

Having sex or a vaginal exam can also disturb your mucus plug and cause you to see some bloody discharge even when labor isn't going to start in the next few days. In either case, if you see more than a few spots of blood, be sure to call your caregiver immediately because it could be a sign of a problem.

I had an exam 2 weeks before I was due and as I left the office I was positive that my water had broke. When I went back in, they checked me and said that it was not amniotic fluid, that they had just hit a "pocket" (I think that was the term.)

I was at 1 cm at the time also.

My son came a week later, 5 days early. I was in labor and didn't realize it..... until my water broke.

i became an afternoon shy of 40-one weeks after I had my son. I had morning ailment till 9 weeks and my experience of scent became at tremendous hero proportions. i became so drained each and each of the time even even with the undeniable fact that i became drowsing from 7 at nighttime to six in the morning. After about 9 weeks even with the undeniable fact that (which later became out to be fairly eleven weeks, I had my dates incorrect). I fairly a lot breezed through something else of of my being pregnant without subject matters. I did have an excellent form of water retention on the right of my being pregnant and really sore hips and decrease back from having this variety of vast abdomen.

the same thing happened to me! she checked my cervix and told me that might happen when i got home, and to not be alarmed! :) your doctor should have told you that, but i guess they are busy people and can't remember everything! it was probably just a small part of your mucous plug that became dislodged after your doctor checked you. you could still go into labor anytime soon though, just wait til those contractions start! i'm excited for you!!! :)
