Depends on what what type and what stage of diabetes she is in. If she is fairly early in the course of Type I diabetes, called stage 1 or stage 2, there has been little small vessel disease, and she is at risk for a too big baby. Even though it may be big, it is still at risk for several diseases and malformations, and usually would need to be monitored after birth for hypoglycemia episodes. This is because the infant's pancreas has been supplying insulin in high amounts and that will continue for a while after birth. If she is in stage 3 or stage 4, where the disease has damaged the small vessels, some of which are responsible for supplying the placenta with blood, it is more dangerous for the baby, as the placenta cannot supply the necessary nutrients, and the baby may be abnormally stunted in growth.
If she has type II diabetes, it is more likely to act as stage 1 or 2, if she has taken good care of her diabetes prior to her pregnancy. She and the fetus will need to be monitored more closely during the pregnancy and the child will need to be monitored after birth longer than normal babies would.
She REALLY should discuss this with her OB/GYN and her endocrinologist BEFORE getting pregnant, but with good education, compliance and medical care the odds are the outcome will be okay. She is not getting any younger, so the best time, once she gets the approval of the docs is right away.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

It would be extremely selfish to have a baby under these circumstances. Diabetes runs in families, also. Sometimes it's better not to think of oneself all the time, you know?
