Yes they should, Maybe not in cash though. As Dan Wetzel says, maybe scholarship money or an account they cant open until 18. These kids are not just every day kids that are out in a sandlot playing baseball. They are working there asses off all the time. They have very strict guidelines and have to do what coaches say all the time. When you are an all-star you have had to work to get there. Dan Wetzel talks about Dakota Fanning, and I agree, if a 12 year old athlete cant get paid. Why can moviestars, especially when they both bring in money. They should definitely get paid. I guess all those people out there that dont want them too, really like to see the corporations making tons of money they dont need when so many kids and families in sports need it.

No and this is why I say no. The parents. At first I thought you know it wouldn't hurt for the companys to give maybe scholarship money to the teams or give money to the teams for their communities but some parents these days are way too competitive. I think that if the World Series starts paying the kids that more parents will try to push their kids to practice more instead of focusing on school or just having fun. They are too young. Sure Dakota Fanning gets paid to be on tv, but that does not compare to average 12 year olds playing a good game of baseball. I'm sure she is not as happy as children her age. Those kids I'm sure are happy as hell to be where they are and be on tv.

Yes (and college athletes too), the suits who organize the Little League World Series make millions. There's a good article about it by Dan Wetzel.

Well, if you know anything about the little league baseball, the parents have paid alot of money out of their pockets already, Maybe instead of paying the boys, there should be some funds to give back to the parents. But really, no boys shouldn't get paid to play, its something they love to do and its in their blood, so to speak. I know, my son plays.

No way, the kids get so much out of the experience. Paying the kids would jeopardize that. I think that ESPN and others who profit from the LLWS should donate a portion of these profits to get more LL programs established, provide equipment and better fields in inner city and in areas that do not have little league programs.

Sponsor yes, Paid no. They (their families) should get free room and board and any associated travel expenses. A certain % of Little League's revenue should also be devoted to scholarships to keep these kids educated.

No..I don't think they should get the money! personally I think giving them money is like a type of way to spoil them..maybe their parents should get some award or whatever some feedback! anywayzzzz...the little leagues are just playing for fun and for their interest in baseball.

no. im 13 and made the allstar team..this in some cases leads to the world series. i would give anything to have the opper2nity to go to the world series. but its really expensive to do this. you have to pay for uniforms.transportation.lodging. so not a pay but a rehembursement would be nice (it costed me 1,000 dollars just to go to state) 3 levels below world series. world series averages around 5,000 dollars a kid/family
