It seems to me that with multiple adequate choices in birth control there should be no surprises.

they are succumbing to this new tradition that it is ok to have kids first and maybe get married later. although a lot of men leave when kids come around and then they dont want to marry. also the boyfriends are broke and some of them still live their mothers. some have kids at a young age in order to keep their boyfriends. there are several reasons. some women don't have their priorities straight or just don't want to marry. however, i told my boyfriend if he wants children then he needs to marry me. so we will see in 2007 . no marriage, no baby carriage.

Lots of reasons, some do it on purpose to 'trap' men in to being a part of their lives forever (which they generally regret when they realize they want to be rid of him and can't be), unrealistic ideas about what having a child really means, bad birth control choices, alcohol, and the incredibly high divorce rate also...getting married doesn't mean security of any kind these days. People make these decisions in the infatuation stage of the relationship where they can't imagine anything being more important than the 'love' they think they feel, a marriage born in that stage of a relationship probably won't last either.

Yes things happen but women having multiple babies with men who aren't their husband just isnt a lifestyle I want to lead.

When I was engaged a few years back, my fiance and I tried to have a baby because we figured......what the hay we getting married this year and as it turned out we didnt and I'm so grateful now that it didnt happen!

Now, I try my best to abstain from fornication, and its not always easy but whenever I get to the point where it does take place I ALWAYS use condoms!!

Whether they have babies with husbands instead of boyfriends doesn't matter. Whats the difference a piece of paper that says you are legally bind to that person. It really shouldn't matter to anyone what other people do as long as they don't get on welfare or something. If they both already living the life as husband and wife without having a piece if paper that says they are that's there deal not anyone elses. No one can say anything about people keeping there legs closed cause i bet more than half of you aren't virgins so doesn't that comment also apply to you????
Peace out and get a life instead of talking about others.

Most of the time it is not planned so it didnt' happen intentionally. I say you should applaud the woman for having the child instead of considering another option. We all have a past, it is just that theirs is walking, breathing, and growing up. I have a child out of wedlock and would love to get married before I have another one as I am sure many other single mothers would as well.

Sometimes its because they believe the boyfriend, when he tells them not to worry (either birth control or support). Sometimes its cause they don't know the facts of life. Sometimes they are so desperate for love and attention , they'll take whatever they can get. Sometimes they are just looking to screw over a guy. They are no better or worse than most men.

Most people figure why get married? It usually ends in divorce look at the parents. You have a few incredibly stupid guys who will say No I am not getting married because when we get a divorce she will try to take everything. Meanwhile he has a $7.00 an hour job and dented rusted out piece of sh*t.

I dont know , but its so sad when they do that, its sad for the child because most boyfriends walk out and you have to fight them for child support!! Thats why there are so many dead beat dads. I tell teenage femals to make a promises to their unborn child that they will not bring them in this world with out a loveing husband/father, a house, and a nice savings fund.

They think that having a baby will turn him into a husband. Not a good move. Instead of making you a wife it is more likely to make you a single parent.

I don't know - people just don't value marriage anymore I guess. I wish people would wait until they are married, however, reality is that they are not.

As long as people are mature and ready for such a responsibility, who are we to judge when they have a child? We may not agree but ultimately it is their choice. Besides it is better than all these women having abortions!
