It is a very hard life! If their are problems within the congregation you must be an ear to all, but withold your opinion. If there is a dinner you have to assist in the cooking and then look good standing by your husband. What, your not pregnant yet, maybe the Mrs. Preacher can't concieve. He should have children, blah, blah, blah. And wait till you have kids! They must behave perfectly in church or boom, it causes problems with the vestry, the people who pay your husbands salary! And he gets yelled at, but essentially everybody blames you, because, he is a man of God, much to busy to be home with you more than two nights a week. Which leads to adultery! I got some astounding numbers from an Episcopal priest. 57% of Priest committ adultery with multiple members of their congregation throughout their careers. 43% Alcoholism. 28% Drug abuse. 42% divorce. Though i am sure your intended has the best of intentions, he will eventually fail and everybody will look to you as the source of the problem. But hey, nothing good ever comes easy! Go for it! You might be one of the 2% who have no problems whatsoever!

Hard. Preachers have to tend to their congregation as well as their families and sometimes women in the church try to be home wreckers by coming on to the preacher. The wife has to deal with all of that and really has to trust, uplift, and pray continuously for her husband.

I think that it is probably challenging for someone who is not devoted to the Lord. He is pretty much on call always, because he has to tend to the flock that God has entrusted him with. And a lot of people pass judgment on those who are in ministry positions. But it would be well worth it. There is no greater joy than serving the Lord.
