do downloaded rings transfer with a SIM card?

No they don't. The ringtones you download are saved to your phone only. Sim cards are programmed for storing only phone numbers. They cannot accept any other files or data. If you want to transfer your rings, you would need to store them in some kind of memory like your pc or memory card. You need instructions on how you do that, pls feel free to contact me anytime.
