I am supposed to do the pre-lab Prop 484..... which is in this website, but i am stuck on number 3... i do not understand the question....

Can someone please orient me to better understand the pre-lab questions....???? can someone explain to me and give me examples?

i actually read the first part of the .pdf, and i saw that the slope is equal to the experimental density. if that is so, then i guess the answer has to be 1.2 also (but i'm not really sure) since this is the slope of the graph. comparing it to table 2, i saw that the closest substance is polymethyl methacrytlate, which has a density of 1.24.
i guess you just have to read good chemistry books and keep on practicing with sample problems. (i'm sorry i can't be of much help)
