It is not just far and hard! ACCURACY is a must and CONSISTANCY. If you can hit a 5 inch target at 10 yards 9 out of ten times it is better than throwing it 50 yards but not being able to hit a 5 foot target.

It all depends on your competition.... If i am the worlds fastest runner and i run the 40 yard dash in 5 seconds flat (which is very very slow) then i would be a slow runner... but since no one was faster, i would be the best... Main thing for QB is to be accurate, dont throw an interception, and look at the whole field... One should be able to complete a 40 yard pass acurately or so.... but look at the pros.... leinhart and young both could barely throw 60 yards and be totally accurate....

Not very far. In high school its more about accuracy and being able to make the short throws. Also be very good at handing the ball off because most of the time you run the ball in high school.
