They will probably do something but i doubt anything as drastic as getting a super star.

No A.I., no Garnett. I used ESPN's trading tool to see if the salary cap stuff would make sense. The Lakers roster would be down to six, just to get Garnett in purple and gold. So, no dice.

I don't think this season will be any different than last. Maybe next year they can get some studs in the frontcourt to rip some boards down and outlet to the greatest scoring machine the NBA will ever see.

(Yes, Yes, you heard me right Jordan/Chamberlain/Wade fans, Kobe does his stuff in his sleep, the others had much better supporting casts and probably tried twice as hard as they had half the talent of no.8 now no. 24).

The Lakers already got help this offseason. They got Vladamir Radmonovic,Shammond Williams,Jordan Farmar, and Maurice Evans. A.I. won't join the Lakers because of his salary. The Lakers would have to give up to much to acquire him. a K.G. scenario might be a bit more realistic but they would have to get a third team to make such a trade. Both are not likely to land in L.A. However with the peaces we got, we are vastly improved and don't be surprised if we win the NBA title this upcomming season.

Neither one would help the lakers.

With Kobe Bryant, who needs AI. AI is over rated and self-centered. He does not care about team basketball but his individual stats. I don't think both Kobe and AI would work well. Kobe needs attention but isn't self-centered. He does what is needed to win: rebound, assist, steal...While AI only cares about his major stat PPG.

Garnett is one of those players who gets a lot of hype but isn't worth his wait in ****. He is a player who only looks out for himself and doesn't make anyone around him any better. Yes, he is a former all-star but he didn't deserve it. A lot of players who play with him don't like playing with him. His so-called best friend Stephon Marbury was estatic to be playing with his "best-friend" Kevin Garnett but after one season, he wanted to kill him. Kevin needed to be the focal point and everything should run through him, even if 4 players were open, he demanded the ball.

Kobe is way too talented to give up his power to these degenerates. Kobe works hard and makes people around him better. While AI and Garnett only care about themselves. For the lakers sake, I hope they do not get them. This franchise needs young players to compliment Kobe. They have Lamar Odem, what they need is a PG that passes and can shoot the three and a big center who can set blocks, block shots and defend the ball. They don't need another superstar, what they need are complimentary players. Getting AI and KG would create chaos and whinning.

Good luck!!!!

The Lakers cant put in another player with the same salary as Bryant. They would have to drop so many mid-level players just to stay at the salary cap. Would you rather have AI and Bryant with a bunch of rookies or Bryant with mid-level players who can become stars?

I don't think the Lakers stand a chance of landing either Iverson or Garnett... they don't have the pieces to trade. If they could pull off a trade it would include Odom & Bynum, but they don't have any other pieces to send. As far as free agency, Bonzi Wells & Keith Van Horn are the marquee names, and the Lakers aren't going to do a sign-and-trade for either of these guys. Who knows they might trade Odom for someone but it's likely that the Lakers are done making roster moves.

it would be stupid 2 get another ball hog dats gonna be bad chemistry.so unless a.i. becomes a passer they go end up like da knicks.i would go it garnett maybe just maybe hell get another big man 2 help him ta get his fourth ring.but they gonna need 2 do some more trades cause dey dont have dat excelent team dey had in da early 2000s.

The Lakers will probably make a trade, but it will be minor.
There is no way they're going to get AI or KG because of salary. Who are they going to give up to match the salary? There is no way they can get anyone of those two. And why would you want AI alongside Kobe. Two ballhogs on one team? Not good.
