I guess that would depend on what I had to protect and on whether the agreement was fair or not. I don't think they are bad when what they basically say is that what was yours when we met stays yours and what was mine stays mine, especially when the people getting married are older and have spent lifetimes building their own assets. If what is gained in the marriage is divided equally that seems fair to me. Obviously there are situations where its practical...one is very wealthy and much older than the other, there is always that risk there and then I think its just common sense, again as long as the agreement is fair and equitable. For just everyday, young couples, no I don't think its reasonable.

Yes and yes. We had an agreement long before prenups were popular. I think it led to longevity.

Well it all depends on the person you are with and if you are not sure you are going to be with the person forever then you should consider getting one but if ya plan on staying together sure especially if you both are financially taking care of yourselfs

I would not ask for one, but if I were to marry someone who wanted it, I would agree for his sake.

if i had a lot of money & assets for sure i would and if i was asked to sign one then i would have a lawyer check it over
