Having moved to Ireland 5 months ago, it never fails to amaze me how awful the people over here are at crossing the road! I'm not the only person that has moved here and noticed it either!
You can be driving along and they just walk out in front of you, even if they are just a few yards away from a pedestrian crossing!!!

It's not the irish that are bad at crossing the road, it's the drivers of the cars driving too fast - The irish are used to their roads, so us non nationals should adapt and learn to slow down, take it easy and enjoy such a beautiful friendly place.

It depends where you are! Personally i find the same thing happens whenever i go to Scotland and on the continent but i have to say that indeed it's pretty bad in some parts of Ireland.

Kamikaze pedestrians exist in every culture. The Irish are worse than most. But to get the full experience, you have to experience Amsterdam's kamikaze cyclists.

Don't think it's just the Irish, the number of people in England who just assume a car will or can stop for them that they doen even bother to look.

Personally I think they deserve to be hit if they havent even got the sense to look.

Darwin Awards anyone?!
