We all have a few things we hate about our partners but not to the point you despite them. If you can't love someone for who they are then you don't love them to begin with.
First i think this guy at some point loved you and now his tired of the routine and is trying to hurt you so you could be the one to walk away and he doesn't have to. How can you say your embarrassed of someone you've been with for 4 yrs i just don't get it....why even be with them.
Now you need to step up and say if i embarrass you and you despite me then why are you with me? If he can't answer that then you need to cut him from your life. If he replies with answer what ever it maybe then his the one with the problem and not you.
I hate to tell you this but i think that he has someone else in the picture and you just don't want to accept it. You decided if you want to be happy or unhappy. Nobody is going to take care of you if you can't do it for yourself. Let him go and live a happier life. It hurts when you love someone but it hurts more staying in the situation.

It is possible for someone to love you and be embarrassed by you. In my case, I was embarrassed of my boyfriend but I loved him so much. The truth is, I wans't really embarrassed of him, but worried about what everyone else had to say about him. He's not embarrasssing in any way, he's just completely opposite of me and that scared me. Once I was able to recognize that I wasn't embarrassed of him, but rather insecure about my own fears, I was able to let those feelings of embarrassment go away. I love my boyfriend more than life and itself and we're getting engaged..so yes I do think it's possible

It is possible, but it depends on the reason that he is embarrassed of you. For example, my wife (my ex-girlfriend) sometimes says that she is embarrassed of me because I am smoking or because I got too fat! She has said that since she was my girlfriend and I know that she tries to correct me . She wants me to change my bad habits like eating too much, smoking, etc. I think you should ask your friend why he is embarrassed of you, if it is something about your behavior that you can change it, he may wants you to change, but if it something like a big nose, being too tall or short etc., then it means that he really doesn't love you.

no it's not possible...i truely believe this with my heart....i had a boyfriend about 7 or 8 years ago and we got along good...we use to go to the movies, out to eat, Wal-Mart, everything...then his brother-in-law (who is NOT small himself) told him that i was too big for him...he told him it's okay for the guy to be bigger than the girl but not the girl bigger than the guy...well i found this out because he never wanted to do anything anymore but stay at my parents and watch movies and stuff....i finally found out why and dumped him...he was ashamed of me because of what his brother-in-law had said...well he later wanted to get back together...i did try it...but i ended up breaking up with him again because i just didn't feel the same about him anymore and i felt like everywhere we went he was ashamed of me....so no i DO NOT think it's possible for someone to love you if they say that....

Nope, you can't both love someone and be embarrassed of them. Those two things are opposites and if two people remain in a relationship where that exists, things will eventually blow up.

Very true in my opinion!
I think if a guy is "IN LOVE" with you, he should feel to show you off, be proud of who you are. Brag that your beautiful...at least to your face and then SHOW how he feels about you!
Sounds like he doesn't give a rats BUTT about you and Im very sorry to hear that!
Id lose him sweety!

Sorry, but that doesnt sound like true love. If he honestly loved you, he would love your flaws too! That is a lot of time you spent together, make sure it is going somewhere.
