Liberals have no clue as to current events.
They don't even know what an unemployment rate is.

If you count all the people that have given up on looking for jobs you will find the rate is much higher. Also, Clinton's" amazing and economically sound" economy got so much credit because he inherited an economy with a much higher unemployment rate which was brought to us by your great Republican presidents Reagan and Bush the first. It took a lot to bring it down to where it was during Clinton's administration but you guy don't like to use any research. Come to Ohio to see how much everyone is working like you want to believe. The high paying jobs are gone and now many thousands of workers are taking jobs that pay less than half of what they use to make. Same is happening in quite a few other states also. Thank you Republicans. The economy around here is the worse it has been since the 1970's under Richard Nixon, another great Republican president. Use all the statisics from your website you want, the average worker is working harder than ever, but making less money and the living standard has gone down. The rich are getting super rich and everyone else, 90% of America is getting just a little bit poorer. You must live in google land with the rest of your upper class republican hypocrites. Hey, I just looked at the site you touted and the 4.8% unemployemnt rate is higher than that in the last years of 1990"s. You are nothing but a liar, a George Bush clone, when you state it was lower than that of Clintons term. LIAR< LIAR< LIAR your pants are on fire. Republican LIES> Wow, you Republicans never learn to tell the truth. I urge everyone to go to the website this person tauts and see his lies for yourself.

Well, of course you have an axe to grind. But, yes its lower than during slick willies riegn, but you neglect to mention the people that are not longer counted in the unemployment rate. The unemployment rate is not a true measure of who is not working.
Stock market has been pretty flat since its high in 2000
the economy is OK, not great nor growing fast-- inflation and growth are purposely being controlled. The mid-late 90's saw a perfect storm of a number of things-- Y2k spending, Euro conversion spending, .com craze and other things. Those all contributed to alot more working people and spending.
If things are so great, why do we STILL have such a high budget deficit-- under clinton, we had a surplus.
Things are better than earlier in Bushs presidency but not what any rational person would consider great.

the government released numbers are at best the current filers and do not include anyone from last quarter .
ALl you have to do is go down to the unemployment officce and see the lines .
THEY started to grow back in 2001 and have increased everytime i go down to the unemployment office .I hire people directly who are filling for unemployment .
I pay cash and look for construction workers who need some of the books money .
they can earn 100 a day from me and with unemployment ride out a layoff or till they find permenent work .
THEY can stay as long as the like but i do not pay any benefits or taxes or anything so they usually find a job in a few months that pays bene's
these guys work hard and have the freedom to look for work .ALL i do is cover my jobs with workers and there is always plenty of talent at the unemployment office .
PEOPLE i talk to say it is getting a lot worse and i can see that .I stopped building last year and went back to renovations on my rentals and repairs i was letting slide .
THE prospect for workers in construction is way down and houseing permits have dropped in half from a year ago .

Yeah -- whatever --- it's crap. In Florida, there are more jobs too but the rate of pay is SOOOOO low that you still can't afford housing. PLUS when you look at those stats, do you realize that those are the people who have just applied or receiving unemployment? A LOT of people have passed the time period to receive it or can't receive it for some reason. For instance, I'm going through temp agencies. You can't get unemployment for temp jobs --- this one may become permanent but I have no way of knowing yet. You don't have ALL the information. The people who's unemployment ran out ---- and they aren't working --- they aren't listed in those stats and they are in worse shape than the ones who are.

That's a laugh. What employers are paying isn't meeting the
cost of gas, food & bills. This is causing people to work 2 jobs,
thus making unemployment look great.
Another reason is because they go by how many are collecting
unemployment. After 6 months, you are cut off & don't count
for anything.
This gov. will try to make you believe Anything.
Don't fall for it.

If you are so good at labor stats, look up wages versus inflation since 1980. A crappy, low paying job still counts as a job for unemployment stats.

Clinton inherited a 7.9 rate from Bush Sr.
he handed W. a 4 percent rate...
according to your stats
he basically cut it in half... and since Bush has been in office, it has went up to your stated 4.8 percent... yeah.. he's clearly doing great...
