my mother died 12 years ago in park ave in the bronx. (new york) i was told that my brothers and i were in the news at the time and i would like to know the details of what had happened according to the reporters

Records are always kept at City Hall. If you know the area, then go to the corresponding precinct in NYPD and ask about how you could access the case file. Or you could hire a P.I., if you have the patience, time and money.

A library is your best bet because most online news is purged after 6 months.

Sorry to here about your loss. I use to live around there in 1990.
