What rank are they in now? Are they still in the running for the championship?

I know Hawaii won the championship in 2005, but what about now? Are they playing this year? Have they played? Are they no longer in the running? Aren't they going to defend their championship?

They're surfing now. I don't think they made it this year.
Ewa Beach can't really defend the title because the LLWS is just for kids up to 12 years old. So the kids that won last year, for the most part, aren't eligible to play anymore.
The next level is the Babe Ruth world series, and I don't think Ewa Beach made it to that this year either.

This year hawaii did not make it to the little league world series. The winner out of the west was Arizona which is in the same region as Hawaii, CA, UT, and NM I believe.

no, the little league works like this... the kids play on a competitive team. from there an all star team is selected from all area teams. then an area tournament, then state, then regeonal, then country, then world series. in all tournaments if you lose 2 games your team is done. so mabe the hawaii team lost a tournament!
