The USA is about 75% white, 12% black, 12% hispanic - so to fairly represent the white population, I would look for the authorites (?) to be 75% white.
Recognising the priviliged position of whites & better schooling, those numbers are further skewed. So if 1 in 10 person in power is black & another 1 in 10 is hispanic, that'd be pretty reasonable.
The point being - if you are hispanic or black - you ARE a minority & you don't have any justification for thinking there should be more than maybe 10% representation for your ethnic group.
Personally - I don't give a sh*t about race - I like black, white, brown, yellow, man, woman, straight gay, etc. - gross overgeneralisation means nothing. I judge people by their actions, not their ethnicity. Looking at Condaleeza Rice & Alberto Gonzalez demonstrates you can be ethnic AND a jerk. Looking at Colin Powell, demonstrates there are good people in all racial groups.
