I am running 2 DV cams into a digital mixer via firewire. I have been told I cannot run any cables longer than 30 ft without losing the signal.

What is the best thing to do?
At least one of our cams is going to be about 80 ft away.

Please help!

Couldn't you move the mixer closer to the cams, or vice versa? I'm not sure what firewire's maximum range is, but 30 feet seems like a fairly long distance. Check the user manuals for the mixer and cams.

Check out X10's website, They have all sorts of wireless transmitters for different video sources.
