What color shirt and tie would look best with a black suit?

My dress is chocolate brown and he's wearing a black suit... this is for a wedding. What color combination would look best? Looking for elegant/formal.

Believe it or not, shades of blue look very nice with the brown you'll be wearing and his black suit. I suggest a light blue shirt and multi-shades of blue in a tie. My boyfriend and I wore this color combination before and it looked very nice.

I think you should try a black shirt and then make the tie a big pop of color like a bright blue. That will make it elegant but also a little bold. Plus, blue and brown always look good together!
