Could this be used to soften, and moisturize my skin. I read something about the Egyptians using oils for protection and to soften their skin. Could this work?

Combining olive oil and sugar would be a great body scrub.

Just mix them together in the shower and work them into your skin, paying extra attention to elbows and knees, don't scrub too hard. Then wash off and voila, you have exfoliated, smooth, soft and hydrated skin! Take care : )

I use Olive Oil and Sugar as a body scrub before I apply my self tanner. It works great a little greasy but you have to wipe off when you get out of the shower. And it's cheaper than store bought scrubs. Italians use olive oil as a moisturizer but I think if your acne prone to be careful it might clog your pores. My self tanner last a lot longer and it makes my skin so soft. Olive Oil is also good for your hair.

Definitely! Olive oil (extra virgin) is an excellent moisturizer and brown sugar (demerra style) is a wonderful exfolliator. You could mix the two together and make a body scrub to apply in the shower, just rise throughly after using. You can also use coconut oil in place of the EVOO which works even better.

yes, this definitely works for exfoliating and softening skin...just make sure you scrub gently with the mixture so you don't rough up your skin and rinse it off well so you don't end up sticky!

It could definitely work but be care to wash it all off so as to not clog your pores and make your skin worse.
