Did Darryl Hair tamper with the ball?

Well look at the facts, 26 cameras all around the ground from every angle never saw any Pakistan player tamper with the ball. Hair says it was tampered with so what can he possibly see that cameras from every angle could not see?
If there were any 'strange' marks on the ball, isn't it a FACT that THE ONLY OTHER PERSON WHO HANDLED THE BALL WAS HAIR HIMSELF?
Lets look at TV footage of when Hair handled the ball between overs - he had EVERY MOTIVE TO TAMPER WITH THE BALL TO GIVE CREDIBILITY TO HIS LIES.

WOW!!! Breaking news 25/8/2006 - Hair has offered to resign but only if the ICC give him 500,000 $US!!!
This proves my theory that hes in it for the money, he orchestrated the whole affair for financial gain. Am I a visionary or what!!!

Well vaivagabundo, that brainless Hair should have given a couple of things a thought before accusing Pakistan. The ball may have been damaged by any obstacle in the way....which includes the boards on the boundary line....and the audience.....and he should also have kept the fact in mind that the ball was 56 overs old...

This is a very inetresting point that had not previously occurred to me. You are right...the only action picking and rubbing at the ball that has been picked up by the 26 (yes...that is 26!) TV cameras on the ground is done by Hair.

For those who say that he has shown that he has too much character to do something like that....all I can say is wake up!! The greatest people in history have all had flaws of some type (be they Mandela, Gandhi, Churchill, Mother Teresa or whomever). While I am not in any way putting Hair anywhere near the levels of these people, I am suggesting that someone who seems to be as 'strong' as him is still capabable of having a deep flaw or two.

I believe his flaw is there for the world to see. He has an agenda against the way that the Asian bloc has taken over the Anglo-Australian dominance of cricket in financial terms and in political terms. He wants to put them ""in their rightful place".

I would rather thank you for this point. Daryl Hair has always shown his obnoxious inner against the asian teams. See what he did with poor Mualai? He almost spoiled his career and I am entirely of Thalinga's (Former Srilankan Cricket Chief) mind that he is an attention seeker and wants commercial value of every thing he does but I honestly and truly feel that this is the end of his nasty career because we all know Inzamam as the most gentle person the cricketing world has ever seen and God will never let him down against this **** head Hair.

exactly...i made this point in my previous answers...but it was ridicouled by othrs...the point is thta he is such a biased man and a racist that he could have done that so very easily...and moreover HOW on earth did mike procter th match referee faial to see strauss and pietersen on fone inthe dressing room while the match was still not fininshed?????? this is all fishy!!and needs to be decided in the court of law...paksitan is right 2 protest and before pusihing pakistan for pulling outta game...ICC must look into the ball temparing matter because that is what caused the troubles..and if that is settled...this issue will b easier to settle

what possible motive would Hair have to tamper with the ball? not only do you say he cheats but tells lies to, some evidence would be nice. I'd be very careful with your unfounded accusation.

You make a good point. But where or what happens to the ball after the day's play is over and they have pulled up stumps. I wouldn't question his character, because it looks to me that he is a man of conviction.

Yes. He is the only one who could have done it. There were so many spectators watching the match and has any one come forward to say that he or she has seen any Pakistani player tampering the ball.
