Put it on a hot wash with some bleach that should kill the mould, which is what the black stuff is. I think you'll have to do another normal wash WITH NO CLOTHES after though to make sure the bleach is out of the machine.
The same thing happened to my mum's machine, it happens because the door has been left shut when the machine's not been used.
Always leave the door open a bit so the air can get in.
If it's really bad you'll have to get the door seal replaced - I'm guessing that's what's going black ??

When finished doing laundry leave the lid open on the washing machine. This helps the washing machine dry out and keeps it from getting black and smelly!

i agree with the above answers but if you read your user manual it does say that regular cleaning of your washing machine will keep it cleaning your clothes nicely. i often do a high temp (90 degree) wash without any washing in the machine, just soap and calgon, also i clean the dispenser tray with warm water and a toothbrush. i also try to empty the water outlet valves regularly too.

simple, just leave the door open between washes and allow the cage to dry out. You should not need to clean it thats what the detergent does!

Steam clean the rubber after use and then wipe it out. I ti s beat if you leave the door slightly open to allow the air to circulate in to it.

check that ure washing machine waste hose(grey ribbed hose) is higher than where it is attached to under the kitchen sink? sounds to me like you have waste water flowing back into the machine.if its not higher anytime you use the kitchen sink the waste water and bits of food will travel down the hose and into the sump of your machine.
