Yes, with the right software and capable computer it's a piece of cake. I use a video capture device to copy the movie and then a program called dvd shrink to burn it onto dvd. otherwise there are places that will do the service for you for a fee.

There are some stores out there that can transfer from VHS to DVD. The one in my tow is called Budget tapes and Records. The trouble is that it usually costs more to transfer the movie than to buy a new DVD on sale.

I've been wondering the same thing - I've got a couple hundred movies on VHS and from what I'm hearing they are pretty much worthless. I called a couple of pawn shops and they pay only $1.00 per movie, but I suppose that's better than nothing. I may donate some of them to a hospital or group home situation where people are shut-in.

Hi my name is barbara , well here are some ways to get rid of your vhs tapes, you can allways donate them to charity,salvation Army, and of course any shelter, they will be happy to have them let me know what u think?
