we leave on monday for a whole week. and was just wondering what are the expectations?

more young (20s-40s) party people than on other cruise lines. The week-long cruise is much better than the weekend cruise, however, because the weekend cruise is packed with young drunk party-lovers.
The food and service is slightly better on the week-long cruise, too. But Carnival doesn't quite offer the high country-club level of service that many other cruise lines do.
Just relax and keep it simple, you'll have plenty of fun.

You can expect to dance all night long.You probably will gain at least 10lbs because all you do is eat all day long. Expect to go sing in the Karaoke lounge, see some Vegas style entertainment and to lose a couple of dollars gambling and a Captain's Ball this is truly overrated.

Great food, expensive drinks, close attention to detail. Get ready to be spoiled/pampered. Party atmosphere.
