i have a windows xp with media center, and i really want to know how i can saave dvd i tried ripping the content like you would for a cd but it wont let me please help i would really like to know thanks

just use dvd shrink it will work for most dvds but not for new ones the reason for that is because newer dvd contain software to screw up programs that decrypt dvds. so dvd shrink, what it basically does is it uses a decryption algorythm to "open" the dvd then it converts it so you can play it back but its still illegal to copy and sell dvds so dont do it

There could be major copyright implications by ripping a DVD to your hard drive. If you have the rights to do it, and it is a video DVD you are looking to rip, there are several free video DVD Rippers that you can find easily via yahoo or google.

Also--Keep in mind, Media Center does not support the play back of VOB Files (the Video on DVDs).

If it is an orignal then u possibly can't save it on hard drive otherwise you have to have a dvd drive and just go in your dvd drive select all and copy pat it where ever you want it to be

You need a special program for that! Try DVD Shrink

you need a burn program. Try appollo dvd. Save the dvd files to a folder on your hard drove. Then use nero to burn an image of it if you want.

well copy da whole DVD from removeable drive then paste it where ever u wanna save it
