I've watched a lot of anime over the years, and I want to know what new ones people are watching.

I've already watched/watching Naruto, Inuyasha, FMA, Cardcaptor Sakura, etc.

Can anyone give me some summaries of any other anime to watch?

If you're interested in new animes that are still airing in Japan here are some which is really popular you might like:

Bleach- about a 15-year-old high school student, Ichigo Kurosaki with the ability to see ghosts, and a shinigami (literally god of death), or Soul Reaper in the English manga, named Rukia Kuchiki, who runs into him one day while searching for a hollow (an evil spirit).

Tsubasa Chronicle (season 2 now) - Basically all characters from CLAMP anime and mangas combined in one anime.

Blood+- one of my favourites about vampires, It picks up a few decades after the events of Blood: The Last Vampire.

Ergo Proxy- similar to Witch Hunter Robin, about this woman Real Mayer hunting down monsters so called "Proxy".

If you really love CLAMP then you can also watch the xxxHolic anime and other movies.

I'm currently watching Ouran Kokou Host Club, Innocent Venus, Witchblade, Night Head Genesis, Bleach, Blood+, and Tale of Saiunkoku.

Ouran High School Host Club! aka Ouran Koukou Host Club

-an anime about a scholarship commoner student going to a really rich high school... it's similar to Fruits Basket in some ways...and Hunny (also spelled Honey) has the same seiyuu as Momiji from Fruits Basket... anyways, the student is forced to repay a debt of 80,000 dollars (or 8 million yen) by working as a dog for the Host Club.

this anime is mostly for girls...(duh) because of all the hot guys... lol and it's not really an action kind of anime... more like romantic/comedy... it's really funny!

Here are some good anime series.

"Hikaru No go" (Comedy, Drama,)
This anime is really cool it tells about Go. Go is a type of game in china. Go is a strategic, two-player board game originating in ancient China between 2000 BC and 200 BC.(history)
Hikaru Shindo is just a normal 12 year old boy, but one day he's rumaging through his Grandfather's things to see if he can find something to sell and pulls out an old Go board. A ghostly apparation appears out of the board and tells Hikaru his sad story. His name is Sai Fujiwara, a man who was a Go instructor to the emperor of Japan a thousand years ago. However, because of bad sportsmanship of his opponent during a game, Sai was accused of cheating and banished from the city. With no livelihood or any other reason to live, Sai commited suicide by drowning himself. Now, he haunts a Go board, and wants to accomplish the perfect Go game, called the "Hand of God" which he hopes to do through Hikaru. If Hikaru will be able to do it or not (or even wants to) will have to be seen. This is really intersting anime. It actually encourage me to play Go. you should go online and play it, its fun.

1) Great Teacher Onizuka - this one's about a 23 year old guy that decides the best ideal job for him is to become a teacher and dreams of having beautiful school girls swarm him every day. When he does get a teaching job he's stuck in the worst class that hates all teachers and will do anything to get him fired. They've done things as far as making a snake look like a cobra and making it bite him in his groin. It's a very funny, yet a serious and moving anime.

2) Samurai 7 - A small village is terrorized by a large, powerful group of bandits that force them to sacrifice large amounts of rice. The village finally decide to hire samurai to protect them, but the only thing they can give the samurai is a place to live and all the rice they can eat. They succeed in hiring some samurai, but can only afford a total amount of seven.

3) Bleach - a 15 year old high school boy (Ichigo) has the ability to see ghosts. One day he's attacked by a very large and aggressive ghost and comes across a Death God (shinigami) whose job is to kill and purify the aggressive ghosts (Hollows) and send wandering ghosts back to a place called Soul Society (think of it as like Heaven, just not so peaceful). The Death God saves Ichigo and aids him in killing a Hollow that nearly kills his family. With her powers low she has Ichigo do her duties for her while she recovers. But doing that has broken rules in Soul Society so she is taken back to be executed and Ichigo, with other friends, go to Soul Society to bring her back.

4) Elfen Lied - There are a different forms of humans that grow horns from their head and have these invisible hands that come from them. Their hands can do things from picking up a bowl to chopping off a person's arm. A young woman (Lucy) is one of those humans and escapes, but upon escaping she's shot in the head and although the bullet struck her metal helmet, its caused psychological trauma that produces a second personality. She washes onto a beach and runs into two college students. Her new personality is quiet, shy and pretty much mute. She's equivalent to an infant that doesn't know much about anything. However, her true personality is a killing machine that will kill anyone and anything that comes across her path. The two college students (a boy and girl) welcome Lucy to live with them, without knowing of her true personality.

5) Fushigi Yuugi - A very humerous high school student goes with a friend to the library to study, but they sneak into a forebidden area and come across a book that interests them. They've heard rumors about the book that supposedly causes people to disappear when they try to read it. Upon opening the book they're both sucked into an alternate dimension where both girls are seen as priestesses of different countries. Only way they can get home is to summon a creature that will give them one wish. Doesn't sound like much, but trust me this anime is hillarious.

6) Chrono Crusade - This anime is about nuns with guns, yes you've heard me right. There's this organization of nuns and priests that destroy demons with the use of special holy firearms. One 16 year old nun (Rosette) is partnered with a demon (Chrono) and both frantically search for Rosette's younger brother that has been kidnapped by a demon, and is slowly becoming one.

Very long summaries, but I hope they help. All the ones I've mentioned are most of my favorite anime. If you've enjoyed Inuyasha, Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist, you'll love these anime's.
