xtra medium would be a poor way of expressing the news that there were one too many (Mediums)at ye old seance table.

extra medium is smaller than medium, because medium connotes the size is not large, so the prefix, xtra, to the medium makes the size smaller than medium

well if that is true then ipso facto the extra medium would be a large unless you are taking into account the wind factor, temperature and brand of t-shirt then the awnser varies.

there's got to be something better than in the middle.....medium just doesn't have any options, ya know?!! it's kind of like the terms "normal" or "average", just all so very vague.
