I always think about the essence ande nature of time. how can it be curve in shape? and things like this.
For example in "The Univese In The Nutsell",Stephen Hawking's book, I have read that our time is like a pear! I wanna know what it means, how can the time be like a pear!
I need a logical, comprehensible answer for these questions.

Lets look at the definition of time; as follows:

Time is a QUANTITY that indicates how fast a process(phenomena) takes place.

So Time can be related to Gravity and
Gravity is related to space,
and space contains a substance ,
whose density forms a field.

In that sense you could say that time is related to the field and field has a shape.

That means that time is not the same at any parts of the Universe. In the same manner the earth's time is not the same around the loop(orbit around the sun. )since its dependent on a changing radius.
So time in the Universe is different based on the density of the Field of Space which is not homognenous.

Stephen Hawking did mention" Pear Shape" in his book.He has a great imagination and affinity for Physics.
However; many of his ideas are based on Relativity of Einstein.
Now whether Einstein was ever really Understod is a debatable question.

All time is relative to the person experiencing it. Time is and has always been a made up thing created by man. For example if the sun never set and the seasons never changed how would a person measure time? They couldn't unless by a manufactured device which would make time only pertinent to that device and nothing else. The essence of time are the experience we have from moment to moment. It is the totality of our life's travels and adventures that make up time I.E. Do you remember the time we did this? Or do you remember when that happened? Time is irrelevant, it is the experiences of the moment that actually matter the most. Stop thinking and start living.

OK, this is just my theory so bear with me and I will explain it as best as I can. Think about the shape of a pear. It is smaller on top than on bottom, right? So, you start life at the top where the stem is. When you are born everything is on a smaller scale...what you know, your abilities and of course... you physically. Then, as you follow the outline of the pear it gets larger. Just as your abilities, your knowledge and your size. Then tracing back up the pear it gets smaller. By this time there is less to learn, your physical capabilities become less and we even physically shrink. Then eventually we fade out. Well it makes sense in my head. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Hi. Time can mean a few things such as what a clock indicates or the position of the sun indicates or what you experience as a sequential series of events. There is also time as viewed in a more than three dimensional universe. I think you are referring to the last kind of time. You don't sense this kind of time anymore than you sense your movement in space. It's a mathematical element more than anything. It's influence on you and me is not reversible but we can measure the seconds (a man-made step by the way) quite accurately but that does not make it more meaningful.
