My blood pressure has gone up according to my doctors, I am a little over 38 wks. It was 135/? Has anyone had their pregnancy induced over high blood pressure? I read they they will a lot of times induce if your blood pressure keeps going up. How high will they let it go before they induce? I'm going to ask my doc about it tomorrow just wondering if there were any experiences with others that were willing to share.

I'm usually around 117-120/80 or so. A couple of times it may have been around 125.

High blood pressure can cause a lot of complications with pregnancy. Anything over 37 weeks is considered full term, which is why they'll probably induce you. It's nothing to be horribly worried about, they just want you to have the baby as to prevent any complications with your pregnancy.

I'm not sure how far they let it go before they'll induce you. But if your blood pressure is 135 over whatever, I'm sure they'll keep a close eye on it. Normal blood pressure is 120/80, just FYI.

I had a bout with high blood pressure during my preg almost three months ago. it got to 145/98!! I had to be put in hospital and watched the baby with machines. I was 36.5 weeks and my son was born perfectly. I could not be induced because of placenta previa & abruption but my blood pressure went back to normal the day after the c-section. they need to make sure the baby is getting enough oxygen & the baby's heart is still beating good. The doctors will keep a close eye on you and your baby. if you worry over pain medication don't you can get a epidural with high blood pressure & it can even lower your blood pressure! everything will be okay.

I have both of my pregnancies induced because of my blood pressure. This last pregnancy my blood pressure was at 156/94 when he decided to induce. My blood pressure was up and down my last month. They day I hit 38 weeks he induced. Good Luck

My normal BP is 120/70

My daughters heart rate dropped also. The had her on an internal monitor. They ended up manually dilating me. ohhhh did that hurt.

I am not sure how high they will let it get I would think for you they would watch it a bit more (unless you are having symptoms of high blood pressure) 135 does not seem horribly high normal is 120 but that being said I also have no idea what your normal BPis.

well high blood pressure can lead to preeclampsia.. but 135 really isn't that high.. i've had high blood pressure during my entire pregnancy (150/95) range and they are not talking about inducing- i simply have to go through lots of urine tests to make sure that i don't show signs of preeclampsia... and my baby gets monitored alot.. i'm currently 37 weeks and my doc hasn't even begun to suggest inducing.

The same thing happened to me. My blood pressure went up to 162 over 90. What my doctor did was he stripped my membranes. He then sent me home. He told me that if my water broke, get to the hospital right away. He did this on January 16th. He told me that if my water didn't break, go to the hospital on the 18th at 8:30 in the morning. My water didn't break at home. Though, I was in labor those two days. I went to the hospital on the 18th. I had my daugther at 11:39 am. Good luck. Have your bag ready just in case. You might not be sent home like I was.

Your blood pressure drops drastically after elivery...I was induced at 39 weeks due to the same thing. If they induce...great...baby is fully formed and healtyh at 38 weeks

They induced me around 38 weeks because of bp...they put me on bedrest for a week first though...it took 3 days for labor to actually set in and once it did my baby's heart rate dropped with every contraction so they did a csection. Just talk to your doctor because it can take what seems like forever when you arent ready. It is important though because it is dangerous for your baby as well as you.
