The internet as a whole is dangerous. We need to teach our kids to be careful internet users just like we teach them to be careful bike riders, drivers, and when their out with friends. Parents need to monitor their kids internet use and teach them how to comment and IM smart.
There are pedophiles everywhere, there are criminals everywhere. Banning a particular site will not teach your kids how to live in this world, but only encapsulate them from the world around them.

Myspace is no more dangerous than any kind of instant messenger or ISP. The people you come in contact with only get as much information as you give them. So many stupid people try to sue Myspace because "their child was raped" or whatnot, when that's not Myspace's fault. They DO NOT set up meetings between its users... just the ability for people to communicate. It's only as dangerous as you let it become. :)

My Space is dangerous to young, Naive girls who dont understand right from wrong and think that its okay to give out personal info because that wil lmake them cooler and they will never get raped because that stuff only happens to everyone else....but for everyone else myspace is not dangerous at all

there are some creepy ppl out there..but it just depends on how u use it. u can always make ur profile private, and limit who U want to take to. like me..i only add ppl who i know, same with msging. i like it because of the fact that i've been in touch with friends i hadnt seen in years, and my friends now! : D

My pastor told me that if you post your picture on MySpace it sucks the soul out of your body through your eyes and Rupert Murdoch keeps it in a jar.
He made a particular point of saying "STAY AWAY!!!! IT'S PORNOGRAPHIC, SATANIC, SUBVERSIVE, LEFTIST EVIL THAT WANTS TO TURN OUR CHILDREN INTO VAMPIRES WITH COMMUNIST SYMPATHIES!!! IT'S EVEN WORSE THAN TOUCHING YOURSELF"

sometimes (like every maybe, month) one kid gets hurt or killed or whatever. personally, i'm not all that worried. i mean, i have a myspace and i'm not dead yet. i guess it depends on who you ask. but for me, the answer is no.

if u put ur profile to private no and if u donot then other people could steal ur personal information like just only getting ur e-mail. then could snap out ur phone # and other information and stuff
