you can try plugging an ethernet cable from the tv box to the the 4port switch and try accessing, although i cant see it working as you cant login.

ADSL is for ADSL lines

CABLE is for CABLE lines

you are best not opening the router box, or if you have try and get a refund. cabel routers are cheaper, and made for cable lines.

good luck

You should have received all the cables and parts you need with the devices supplied. NTL set top boxes come complete with an ethernet cable and a usb cable. Your WLan wireless Router should have an ethernet port or even a usb port. If not, you should exchange it at the shop you bought it from. If you got it from Maplins, there should be someone there who will be able to advise you on the correct router. Maybe not the first employee you see, but he/she will be able to take you to someone who does.

Go to Radio Shack and but a Category 5 cable. Connect the two by plugging one end of the Cat5 cable into the back of the router and the other end into the set top box.
