IT COULD HAVE A SHORT , OR THE FLOAT COULD BE HOLDING GAS"WATER LOGGED" SO WHEN U FILL UP THE TANK IT DOESN'T RISE WITH THE FUEL IT JUST SITS THERE.. EITHER WAY ITS A REAL HASSLE TO FIX

In the fuel tank there is a float that raises & lowers depending on fuel level. Now first to admit not well up on American cars, but if before it didn't work it was extra sensitive ( you go round a corner and it moved a lot) sounds like float has disconnected. Or it's stuck at bottom (if you've run out of fuel, or run very very low then filled up the float can stick - on British ones anyway). Take it to garage, shouldn't be a huge job to fit a new one, just make sure you got enough fuel in it to get to garage lol

1) Empty gas tank. = Fill it up
2) Fuse burned out. = Replace fuse
3) Sending unit broken. = Replace sending unit

If none of these work..........get a new car!
