can you plug your ipod in any other port-slot other then the usb?

There are there are 2 ways I know you can hook up an Ipod.
1 is through usb 1.0 or 2.0
2 is through firewire (some machines come with it and some don't, but you can buy a card to plug into you machine to add fire wire ports.

Not that I know of. But USB ports are usually available on all computers. Plus the ipod usually comes with the usb cord you need to plug it into the computer. I mean unless you get something like a Ipod Boombox, then you just stick you Ipod on that - no need for plugs/wires/cords etc. Im not sure if that answers your question though...
