HOLY COW, are you kidding??? Look at Anna Nicole Smith and a That Gotti woman... They are so loaded they sneeze money and yet, neither of them have enough class between the two of them to fill a tissue!! They are both the epitome of WHITE TRASH!! I have seen more class in a homeless woman I met in a shelter where I volunteered at once than either of THOSE TWO could ever show in a five minute period!!
No, money does not make class and a lack of money does not mean that someone can't be one of the classiest people alive. "class" is a quality that you either have or you don't. You can't learn it, earn it or buy it. Anna Nicole had a cousin or something visit her once, dolled her up, got her teeth fixed ( egads , THAT musta cost a mint, ) put her in a gorgeous dress and they went out and both , by the end of the night, ended up drunk and stoned, in a mud wrestling pit. See, no class. It was so disgusting. I didn't even see it, a friend did and told me about it. ( My friend said it was like a train wreck, she saw it channel surfing and just couldn't look away... it was too bizzarre. )
So , Money and class the same? nope. Class is a catagory ALL its own.

ABSOLUTELY YES! The two have little to do with one another. Class has more to do with humanistic behaviors and attitudes. The way one treats his fellow man and handles him/herself. Money only magnifies the quality or lack there of, of the true 'Class' within a person. Money just accentuates who and what you really are.

Yup...nothing worse than a hillbilly with money. Class comes from within. Money just decorates the outside.

Actually I see many people who have money and are vulgar idiots. They still have a bigger house and car and more pairs of shoes than the rest of us. And in America, that is what counts.

Two completely different things... a pauper can have class, while a wealthy person can remain classless. Very often the case!
