Since Avenue Q played in Vegas they didn't plan a west coast tour. However, it has since closed in Sin City, but I have yet to hear anything about a national tour. Anyone hear anything? I'm dying to see this show.

Nothing but rumors at this point--but the rumors are that the producers are indeed considering either a national tour or what's called "sit-down" productions--meaning, opening various individual productions in cities which they think would support a good run. They signed an exclusivity clause with Steven Wynn when they went to Vegas, but he gave it back when the show closed, so they (the producers) are free to tour it. Most frequently mentioned West Coast city for a sit-down is, not surprisingly, San Francisco--probably due to its large population of...Canadians. I've also heard that they've been in contact with Denver Center Attractions as part of a possible tour. Wouldn't expect any details until much later this year, though, and probably no actual production(s) until some time in 2007.

I'd tell you to keep checking the internet, but as you well know, the Internet Is For ..... :-)

I think they couldn't do a tour because Wynn had an exclusive deal. Even though that's over, it is still not on tour yet, it's only showing in NY.

But check the ticket sites once in a while, they usually get early news if a venue in your area picks up a particular show.

If it's still around next time I go to NY, I'm definitely going to check it out!
