My computer takes so long to load and the yahoo instant messenger and inside yahoo it just adding to the problem.

Yes. It is defaulted to sign on when you install it... Someone must have been very smart and trunked the auto log-on off...
It is dangerous to have any program automatically log onto the net at start-up since viruses can exploit the open port(s)...
My advise is to leave it as is and when you need to log-on then do so

For instant messenger signout and uncheck for automatically sign in.
The other option is remove it from the startup menu.

In preferences or options there is a selection to launch Yahoo Insider. Uncheck it.
