Check the label. I generally do it inside-out, but then NEVER machine dry them. The heat will crack and ruin a jersey faster than wearing it outside to play football would.

I don't think that you are supposed to, but I always wash mine in the machine. Just set it for the delicate or gentle cycle on cold.
