Those are syptoms of PTSD. It can happen to any woman. Try talking to your OBGYN, as a psychologist may medicate you for something that could be handled easier. Have the next kid, if you are having these issues, I do not see another pregnancy enhancing them, rather than just ensuring that you will still be a little anxious.

I am more aware of my surroundings...especially when driving and my baby is in the car. I also find myself not interested in anything but my baby! I'll be at work and thinking about my baby...when I finally get a break and my mom has him..I'll be thinking aboutmy baby...even a night out...I think I would rather be with my baby... Talk about the purest love you can feel for a human being! Next to the love I have for God Almighty...there is that for my child... No post partum depression or anxiety..I'm as happy as a pig in slop..with her piglet of course!!

Pregnancy has mad eme into a typical worry wart that you become with the whole ordeal. I lost 65lbs prior to finding out I was pregnant and began to like my body and have good self esteem, now I gained 20lbs in only half way of my pregnancy and feel like an unattractive cow again...lol..I got the acne, all-day-sickness, fatigue, bigger breats that are tender and sensitive and hardening up already. I have mood swings from hadies and yet I love it.It made me realize the miracle I have growing inside me and how many years I waited for this to happen to me. Now its the "mom" brain we get and the instincts we need and use to defend and protect our babies through life.
My advice to you, is to consult with another psychologist and express your concerns and problems to them and seek the help you need. I have anxiety and OCD and depression and I had a great counselor who helped me deal with it, and I have been off my medications now for a few months and doing fine. Also a great book to read to help with life and your problems is Dr. Phil McGraws books, I read Life strategies and it helped me along side my counseling. Good Luck and I hope you find the peace in your life that you need.

This sounds a bit like my good friend. She is now diagnossed with anxiety disorder and takes daily medication. Her case is bad though. What you need to to see a doctor for testing. Not a shrink. A doctor can tell you if you have a problem that requires medication or anything further. God Bless.

I've become more melancholy too. The main thing I have changed is that I don't run up and down stairs anymore. I have always been a clutz and I am afraid I will fall. I am alot more careful in where i step.

Emotionally, I am the opposite. I use to let things go more, but now that I have my child, everything I do I take her into consideration and try to do the right thing. I am stronger and I stand up for myself more.
