Most likely old age, since everyone else is also old, you could probably watch the movie and see on the tombstone when she died, just an idea

In the movie, they don't really tell you, I think it was of old age, but you see Raoul go to her grave and the Phantom left a rose with her ring on it... I think it was from old age. Raoul looked really old and because if it was like really suspensful, like a murder, or an accident, they would definately had put it in the movie

I think in the movie at least, she does die, but I don't think you ever find out how. Doesn't Raoul come the grave and the Phantom has left a rose?

uhhh she doesnt die.. i ve seen the play and she is saved by Rauol at the end of the play from the phantom's lair ...why didnt yu specify that you meant the movie ?? just curious.. i never saw the movie .. just the play ..
