The best Hitchcock movie, in my humble opinion, is a not so well known film called Rope. I say not so well known because casual movie fans know Psycho, The Birds, North By Northwest and Rear Window best out of all his movies. The entire movie was shot using only one camera with no edits. The story is really great, the acting is great, and the fact that you simply follow the characters around the apartment with only one camera was groundbreaking for it's time.

Rope. Although there were some edits. Hitch hid them very well. If I remember correctly, there is a scene when someone walks in front of the camera and for a second the whole screen is black...that was an edit. I think there was only about 3 edits in the whole movie though. A classic!
