If the Iraq War stopped for one day and you were allowed to speak to it's citizens what would you say?

Suppose you were President for one day and you went to Iraq what would you like to say to the people that might change the feelings of their people and possibly end the war?

I think they need a "reason" to stop fighting! what reason could we give them that would make them want to stop fight! Both sides have to gain something in this, what could we offer them ?

Dear Citizens of Iraq,

The day has come for you to decide your future. We came as liberators to remove a tyrant that posed a threat to the world and who used his subversive powers to keep most of you from achieving what we most treasure; the right to pursue happiness.

We were wrong. Though we believe it was right to remove Saddam from power, we now realize that it was the fear of Saddam that prevented you from killing each other. Now that he is gone, the threat of civil war grows every day and no one is truly safe.
The league of nations created Iraq after the fall of the Ottomans, without giving much thought to your ethnicity and it has been the rule of a tyrant that may have kept from civil war for this long. That tyrant is gone, his power gone.

So today I ask the citizens of Iraq this; Do we have the collective will to continue this experiment in democracy. Can we put aside our differences for the good of Iraq and it's people who want to live in peace. The alternative would break Iraq into pieces, each piece with it's own borders, it's own government. Iraq would never be the same. It's the will of the people of Iraq that will determine her fate.
