You haven't tried ARBONNE!!! I have the exact problem as you... i have been strugling with acne for over 9 years and i finally found a releif in Arbonne, these products are botanically based formulatted without mineral oil, which is the 2nd worse thing we could do to our skin (#1 is the sun) and they are formulated without animal products which our skin does not absorb and they come from dead animals (rendering plants) where these plants pick all dead animals from road, meatmarkets, etc. and they put them in a huge pot, boil them and what comes to the top is what other companies use to formulate their "beauty" products, eww, gross i know... anyway, as i told you these products have been a life saver and everybody compliments me since my skin looks and feels healthier...now, about the oil, there is not much you could do but avoid washing your face more than 2 times a day, since this will make you oil cell act up and produce more oil, also the great advantage of oily skin is that it ages at a slower rate than other skin types. remember oily skin needs special cleansing with plenty of hot water and soap to prevent the pores from being clogged. Avoid harsh products that strip your skin of oil and encourage flakiness. They can cause a reaction known as reactive seborrhoea, where the oil glands work overtime to compensate for the loss of natural oils....the line i used to get rid of the acne was called clear advantage and i also use their antiaging line and i could combine the entire line and it will not affect the routine at all... also their acne line is healthier since it is formulated with salycilic acid instead of benzoyl peroxide which overdries your skin... i buy them online at: http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com and let me tell you i recommend them as much as i can ... you have nothing to loose ...only oily skin ;~)

Loreal makes a face wash for sensitive oily skin called Shine-Free wash. Its in a blue bottle and you can buy it a Walmart for about 9-10 bucks. Its great, and you notice the difference after the first use. It controls oil production all day.

Have you tried putting egg whites on your face? You just take raw egg, no yolk, smear it on, let it dry, then rinse it with warm water. But then you must apply fragrance free lotion to replace all the oils the egg dries up.
In the morning, just splash your face with some cold water to tighten up your pores. Don't rub it with a towel, just blot it.
I've not tried the Ambi, but people have struggled with acne for so long and there are so many variations of skin and so many factors that effect your body's reaction, that there really is no good answer. Just have to pay attention to the effects after choosing a good routine to care for your skin.

I don't know if the black soap will clear your face, but to get rid of acne/pimples, use an acne treatment with benzyl peroxide. To prevent acne from coming back, drink plenty of water every day. Use a daily face wash with salicylic acid in it to unclog dirt and oil from pores, which cause pimples. Make sure to moisturize every day too, because acne medicine will otherwise dry your face out. If your face thinks that it is being dried out, it will produce even more oil, causing acne. Hope I helped.

Have you seen the commercials (with P.Diddy or Vanessa Williams) or any other advertisements on Proactive? Order some and try it, it really does work very well if you use it like it says. I know of three other black women that use it. They all had problem skin and they now look great.

Here is what I did... I went to http://www.neutrogena.com/ and I did the E-valuation. They come up with a regimine for skin care and they have one for make up too... I took them both and it came up with what I should use... I have really sensitve skin too.. so if this doesn't work then I would go to a dermatologist and they will give you meds...

It might but soaps can sometimes overdry your face, which then makes you overly prone to breakouts. http://health.yahoo.com/topic/beauty/overview/article/islco/skin_and_beauty_isl_beauty_skin_types
