At the risk of not earning the coveted "best answer" 10 points here, I have to illuminate that the question in itself is spin. Why? Because the whole Lebanon/Israeli conflict is all spin. Israeli settlement politics lead to contempt from Palestinians and others. Those disgruntled and disenfranchised obtain weapons (sometimes just a sling shot vs a tank) to resist.
Hezbollah and HAMAS kidnap a couple of Israeli soldiers because Israel has thousands of Palestinians detained and they believe they have grievance. All the while, U.S. satellite and Israeli intel can't learn of this massive Iranian supplied rocket transport and storage by Hezbollah. So, Israel attacks Hezbollah sites in S. Lebanon and Hezbollah launches hundreds of rockets into Israel, about 95% of the casualties (like ALL other conflicts in history) are civilian - go figure. Who knew? And, has Israel even gotten it's kidnapped soldiers back?
When was Israel ever it's own state to lay any claim to land out there? Read, folks. Learn. Israel was created (with help from Arabs as well) by rich people to create a test bed for social conflict/dialectic theory. It was created to facilitate Jew, Christian, and Islamic eschatology so the mystics from all sides could tell their sheeple that signs indicate prophecy is being fulfilled and judgment day cometh.

How can you explain the fact that every bomb that fell in Israel and every Israeli child that was killed got a tiny little place at the back side of the papers?

The media is not run by Jews, darling. It is run by people who want to sell their papers, and I assure you that the truth about what Hezbollah had done, is soon to be discovered. Neither by the American, nor the European media.

They want to keep American public support on the side of Israel. If Israel is portrayed as all good, just defending herself from terrorists, US citizens will be more likely to support further Israeli attacks on people living in Lebanon, Hamas, Gaza, and the West Bank. Americans will also be more likely to support a war effort by the US against Iran and Syria to protect Israel, our inerrant ally. So facts and photos which will tarnish the image of Israel are minimized or not shown. Could this be a form of, duh, propaganda?

Why on earth would the media be afraid? Afraid of what, specifically, seeing as there's freedom of the press, they have nothing to fear.. That doesn't make any sense. I almost sounds like you have a point to make, but it's unclear.
